Explore intriguing paintings, sculptures, and objects in the museum's exhibitions and let them inspire your own works of art. For ages five and older and their adult friends.
March • Traditional Tibetan Felting

Explore felt clothing and patterns in the galleries. Learn the fun and simple traditional Tibetan craft of felting. Choose layers of color and transform them into a felted masterpiece!
April • Magical Masks*

Uncover stories behind the masks in the museum’s collection and create your own masks to transform you into fantastical characters from your imagination.
May • Raja-Rani: King and Queen for a Day!*

2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Discover the magnificent jewels, head gear, belts, and robes of the Naga people in the galleries and create your own royal costume and adornments inspired by the Exhibit Fiercely Modern.

Tickets: $16 for first adult/child pair; $16 each additional child; 25% off for members. For additional adults regular museum fees apply; Free for children under 1 year and Cool Culture Members.
Tickets include gallery admission and are non-refundable and non-exchangeable. All programs are subject to change. All programs begin in the Education Center located at 132 West 17th Street.
Tickets for this class tend to sell out in advance, to ensure your space we reccomend purchasing tickets in advance.

Each day revolves around a theme; past themes include colors, cities, and lines. Children and their adult friends will build and play with blocks, listen to a story relating to our theme, visit an exhibition in the galleries, and create an artwork inspired by the pieces we've looked at.
