Ages 3-5

Clap your hands and stomp your feet! Look closely at artworks in the museum and explore art through your body. Find excitement and tranquility through movement-based games and breathing exercises while developing coordination, balance, visual literacy, and sense of rhythm.

Each week’s class runs on the same schedule with rotating monthly themes throughout the year. Some themes include: Numbers, shapes, body parts, and places.

11:00 a.m. • Theme-based play time

11:10 a.m. • Get moving with yoga and dance postures

11:30 a.m. • Gallery tour or art making activity

11:45 a.m. • Making Rhythms together

11:50 a.m. • Breathing exercises and a quick rest

11:55 a.m. • Clean up together

Tickets:
$10 includes family workshop and museum admission for one adult and one child. $10 per additional participant. 50% off for members.
Free to children under 1 year and Cool Culture members.

Tickets include gallery admission and are non-refundable and non-exchangeable. All programs are subject to change. All programs begin in the Education Center located at 132 West 17th Street.

  • Tuesday: Closed
  • Wednesday: 11 a.m – 7 p.m.
  • Thursday: 11 a.m – 5 p.m.
  • Friday: 11 a.m – 10 p.m.
  • Saturday and Sunday: 11 a.m – 6 p.m.

  • The museum is closed on Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Year’s Day.

  • The Café and the Shop are open during the museum hours.

  • Gallery admission is free every Friday from 6-10 p.m.
  • Gallery admission is free for seniors (65 and older) on the first Monday of every month.
