Outreach Lesson Modeling: Pre-Visit Lessons

Interactive experiences that prepare students for their tour at the museum

Pre-Visit Lessons prepare teachers and students for their encounters with Himalayan Asia with thought-provoking explorations led by one of our engaging museum educators. Lessons can be scheduled either in school or at the museum’s state-of-the-art Education Center before guided tours begin.

Lessons are founded on inquiry-based discussions about objects from the museum’s teaching collection to support age-appropriate learning, and generate curiosity and excitement about the upcoming trip to the museum.
