Independent Schools at RMA

The Rubin Museum of Art is committed to Independent Schools who engage students in exploring the topics of Eastern Art and Culture, inviting them to utilize our vast and comprehensive collection of Himalayan art and educational programming. In an effort to enhance the quality of student learning, RMA offers an independent school partnership opportunity to schools interested in developing and augmenting their study of globalized society and art.

RMA arts integration programs connect to a variety of subjects such as English Language Arts, Math, Global and Social Studies, Science, and Visual and Performing Arts. Our museum educators collaborate with classroom teachers to tailor programs to specific curriculum goals and objectives.

Partnership Includes:

  • Professional development for teachers
  • Free entrance for all students and teachers for field trips
  • Advance notice of unique education program offerings
  • Special programs involving resident artists and scholars
  • Special Access to RMA Teen and Studio Art Programs
  • Curriculum planning and field trip guidance
