The Rubin Museum of Art provides exciting resources for university students and faculty to explore Himalayan art and culture. Dedicated to showcasing Asian art of the Himalayas, including the cultures of India, Tibet, Nepal, Bhutan, Pakistan, China, and Mongolia, the museum’s innovative exhibitions and programs not only provide invaluable resources for exploring traditional Himalayan art and culture but also address ideas and issues of the contemporary world as part of a global community.

  • There is a 24-hour parking lot on the corner of 17th Street and 6th Avenue. In addition, there are parking garages along 17th Street going towards Union Square.

  • Monday: 11 a.m – 5 p.m.
  • Tuesday: Closed
  • Wednesday: 11 a.m – 7 p.m.
  • Thursday: 11 a.m – 5 p.m.
  • Friday: 11 a.m – 10 p.m.
  • Saturday and Sunday: 11 a.m – 6 p.m.

  • The museum is closed on Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Year’s Day.

  • The Café and the Shop are open during the museum hours.

  • Seniors 65+ - $5.00
  • Students 13+ - $5.00
  • Children (12 and younger) - Free
  • Museum members - Free
  • Gallery admission is free every Friday from 6-10 p.m.
  • Gallery admission is free for seniors (65 and older) on the first Monday of every month.
